Gayle Jackson led the second part of the study on Kings of the Old Testament. We discussed being spiritual, involved/ entangled and yoked.
A few key points:
Who do we hope in?
Hope outside of God makes entanglement become yoking.
We were warned about entanglement, but we were commanded about being yoked.

Gayle Jackson spoke to the class on the topic of Kings.
Nine of the 32 kings and one queen were "good"...only 3 finished that way. Are you prepared to make the sacrifice to finish "good?"
1. Read the Word.
2. Learn to fear the coming accountability with God...from the Word
3. Obey the Word.
4. Don't veer from the Word.
5. Be humbled.
The table talk question was "What are the promises from God that you are willing to bet the ranch on?"

Bill Ibsen spoke on "Spiritual Disciplines".
1. Are you more drawn to the disciplines of abstinence or to the disciplines of engagement? What does this tell you about your temperament?
2. Rank your top five most liked disciplines and your top five least liked disciplines. Of your least liked disciplines, which one could you pursue over the next month, and how could you benefit from such a pursuit?
